About Us
I decided to start S. Badger Empowerment and Consulting Services, LLC (SBECS) to meet the needs of people in Newark, greater Essex County Community and beyond. As a psychotherapist I treat my clients mental health concerns through individual, family, and group therapy. I offers holistic interventions through creative arts therapy, mindfulness meditation, guided imagery, body centered therapy and story telling.
I specialize in Afro-centric and culturally sensitive therapy. I honor collectively healing, spirituality and racial identity work in my treatment approaches.
Mission
The purpose of this group practice is to provide culturally sensitive, trauma focused therapy and professional education to the community. We work to empower clients through education, establishing goals and self-exploration.
